my first club game!

My first club game, in the blue and white.
And yet not a full team of 15 ...
13 only.

What if its 7, or 10?

I am inspired. I want to learn so much so fast.
Can we succeed by May 06? Sure would be a great birthday present!

How pathetic is that?

Back from the moon

I'm still so chuffed from the trip!
Looking at the pictures, its like we're back at QE2 stadium again.
Lovely pics of dickie in the lucky beanie!
:D

I'm happy to be home with my baby again.

Still, I can't help being the groupie and surfin' the touch NZ forum pages. Read quite a few comments, and can't help but make a comparison between NZ/Aust and our situation back here.

This quote especially -
"I believe that NZ have an advantage over Australia. New Zealands has awesome individual touch players who can turn a game around just like that BUT it was the TEAM WORK of the Aussies which helped them lift the cup. Eg. Majority of thier tries were scored out wide with a 10 - 20 mtr long pass! And thier yards were simple and varied...they still do wraps for goodness sake!! Now if New Zealand can be consistent in adding the TEAM WORK ETHIC to thier arsenal, then we would definitely win. Aussie on the other hand only have TEAMWORK. There were no individual standout players for me. ALl they did was create an overlap, long pass try!!! Aussies can't and don't step, they don't flick or do fancy passes, and they definitely don't have the flair that the NZders have. I believe if NZ can play like a team, USE the WHOLE Team and add thier flair....BRING HOME THE CUP IN 2007! MENTAL TOUGHNESS!!!"

For us, chasing that leprechaun's pot of gold at the end of the rainbow...
I believe that our gold strike can happen in 2006.

I'd like to model our game onto the Aussie plan.
It suits us!
We don't have superstars nor superior individually-skilled players who can run circles around the opposition. THEY do. And that's where I think our salvation lies.
WE are forced to play as a team - like the Aussies. Individually we won't look impressive, but we can be a Champion TEAM.. rather than a team of champions. And that's another plagiarized quote from the same source.

Thinking and talking this over with 'Gel on the way back home.
We've so many things to work on! Heaps of little details .. nothing major on its own, but added together, each minute change will combine into a huge unstoppable force ----> GOLD RUSH!!!

wahahahaah! cue the sound of fanatical laughter.

Guess I should stamp this 'Top Secret' and make the blog go up in flames if ever anyone reads this but me!
