Alice

I came across Nevil Shute's A Town Like Alice this morning in G's study. It must be 20 years since I first read it. Re-reading the latter half of the book, where Jean arrives in Qld, knowing what I now know of the weather, the people, the place ... Its a beautifully written story. Gives me courage to find my own way here.
