Getting crafty

I have been wanting to start doing with my hands, and rather than the clumsy cross stitch and knotting projects of my early teens, why not clumsy knitting instead..at least that was my thought. At least socks can always keep feet warm in winter.

Plus, keeping hands busy mean less chips/chocs into mouth.

Hey even the red tape is on my side, knitting needles allowed on planes http://www.virginaustralia.com/au/en/plan/baggage/carry-on-baggage/

Now just to learn how to knit...

Taste of home...but not

Found a packet of proper bee hoon at woolies. I mean, like the kind you got to soak in water, and not the dong fen kind which I seem to find most often.

Not that I have really been looking. But being as I'm home alone this week there is opportunity to try and make the meal I'm missing quite a lot..breakfast bee hoon with fried egg, ma ling luncheon meat and sambal.

Cut the story short, it was tasty but not the real thing. And I still cannot get my bee hoon right  :-(
